“生活的痛苦远远大于死亡的痛苦,绝望和悲伤横行,徒留噩梦一场连一场;
毫无意义的挣扎,只为心中残存的希望之光;

The pain of life is much heavier than the pain of death. Sorrow and desperation scatters out everywhere, which results in nightmare again and again.
Though the effort will be in vain, the light of hope in people’s hearts will still be sparkling.
Hope that the fear can be far away from the weak.
Wish that you’re able to appreciate the beauty and goodness of this world through your eyes.
That day was the birthday of a five-year-old girl named Anna Gries. The small town she and her parents lived was the one that possessed beautiful scenery and her best friends ever before. However, all of these were destroyed completely by the hysterical enemy who was defeated for several times. The small, familiar and peaceful town now was replaced with burning corpses and broken buildings. And Anna whose last memory about the birthday party was only filled with flames on her farther as well as terrified emotions of her mother while escaping.
Nobody knew how many days had passed away. When Anna in rags was found by a nun of Niece Convent, she had herself hidden in an abandoned granary on her own with hunger and fear. By her side was her mother’s rotten corpse. Each one could imagine how horrible and miserable situation they had come across.
Then Anna was taken into an orphan asylum where located at a rural town called Hawk. Most of homeless children like Anna stayed in here. The narrow space, a lack of food and medicines, the threat of the war and the grief of losing families and friends--each one of them could give them nothing but the despair.
Suffering from the war for so long, the small town had been in ruins totally. It’s no use to stay or leave here and even if nowhere to run away. The midnight has come as well as the nightmare is approaching!
